Terms and Conditions

1. I/We authorize HNB Life PLC and/or any third party engaged by HNB Life PLC to collect, process, store, and use my/our personal and sensitive information (including, but not limited to, medical and financial data) strictly for the purposes of providing insurance services, administering and managing my/our policy, and processing claims.

2. I/We further authorize HNB Life PLC to share my/our personal information with relevant third parties, including medical professionals, institutions, reinsurers, service providers, and regulatory authorities, solely to the extent required for policy administration, claims settlement, and/or compliance with applicable legal and regulatory obligations.

3. I/We consent to HNB Life PLC verifying my/our identity information (such as National Identity Card number, Passport details, or other identifiers) with the Department of Registration of Persons (DRP) or other duly authorized entities, as deemed necessary for customer verification, fraud prevention, or regulatory compliance.

4. Access to the application or services may be suspended, restricted, or terminated in the event of non-compliance with these terms, suspected misuse, or fraudulent activity.

5. All intellectual property, including but not limited to HNB Life PLC logos, trademarks, website and application content, documents, and forms, remain the exclusive property of HNB Life PLC. Such materials may not be reproduced, copied, or misused in any form without the HNB Life PLC’s prior written consent.

6. Payments made through credit/debit cards, standing orders, or other online payment services shall be processed only via authorized payment gateways. I/We am/are solely responsible for ensuring sufficient funds, updating payment details (e.g., upon card expiry), and providing accurate information.

7. In the event of failed or rejected payments, the HNB Life PLC may attempt to reprocess such transactions. Notwithstanding such attempts, I/We remain fully liable to settle all outstanding dues in a timely manner.

8. The HNB Life PLC shall not be held liable for: o Any special, indirect, or consequential losses or damages arising out of the use of its services; o Errors, delays, cyber attacks or service disruptions caused by third-party systems, Content or services linked to external websites or third-party platforms beyond the HNB Life PLC’s reasonable control.

9. I/We shall maintain the confidentiality of my/our login credentials and shall be fully responsible for any unauthorized use, misuse, or breach of these terms. I/We agree to indemnify and hold HNB Life PLC harmless against all losses, claims, or damages arising from such misuse or breach.

10. Upon receipt of any payment made by me to HNB Life PLC, I acknowledge and agree that HNB Life PLC shall issue a payment receipt containing the full details of such payment, including my personal details, to my designated email address provided to the Company. I further agree that such emailed receipt shall constitute valid and sufficient acknowledgment of payment by HNB Life PLC, and I accept the same as conclusive evidence of the transaction.

11. These terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. Any dispute arising hereunder shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Sri Lanka.

12. I/We hereby confirm that I/We have read and understood the above terms and conditions, disclaimers, and policies of HNB Life PLC, and acknowledge that these are acceptable to me/us.
